When a home or business is affected by water damage there is a science to the drying to ensure additional damage dose not occur. Our technicians attend a several days course to learn the fundamentals of properly drying from the IICRC. At SERVPRO we have a program called “DryBook” where we enter the dimension of the room with conditions to calculate the correct quantity of air movers and dehumidifiers. This will justify the charge for the equipment is fair to the customer and/or insurance provider.

This program also allows us to track the daily reading of humidity and temperatures along with the material readings. The technicians will make daily adjustments of the placement of the equipment to of where areas need more focus of drying. We use our industry specialized moisture meters to determine the reading. Customer can not rely of a touch of a surface to determine its moisture content. The technicians training will also allow them understanding the moisture readings as some materials have different industry standards of what a dry reading is.
