Freezing Pipes?

This basement flooded after a pipe broke.

It's that time of year where pipes begin to freeze and burst leaving a mess of your home and contents. Here are a few things to know if you unfortunately experience a frozen broken pipe.

• Locate your water shut off and turn off the main water supply, this will help prevent any more water from continuing to come out.
• Call your insurance agent and let them know of your water damage, they will be able to assist you with filing a claim and explain what you need to. 
• Call your plumber to come and fix the broke pipe.
• Quickly remove any contents out of the water that may not be able to be replaced.
