We have all heard the saying April Showers Bring May flowers. In south central Pennsylvania we normally experience a rainy spring that can overwhelm basements causing flooding. The most common causes are gutter drains clogged or too close to the foundation and sub-pump failure. Once the basement starts to flood it can be hard to control it till the rain has stopped.
