We Can Dry Hardwood Floors
This kitchen in Greencastle, PA experienced some water damage after a dishwasher was found to be leaking. The homeowners immediately called our offices and our technicians were out within a few hours to address the damage. Hardwood floors can sometimes be tricky to dry depending on the variables listed below.
- How long were the floors wet?
- The longer the floors are wet the tougher it is for them to be dried.
- How severe is the cupping?
- If the floors are already cupping to the point where it is a tripping hazard it becomes very hard to dry the floors and most of the time once they reach this point of damage they have to be removed.
Even if the floors are beginning to cup there is a chance we can still dry them. After drying is complete the hardwood floors still may have the cupping appearance. This is because hardwood floors take anywhere from 6-8 weeks to acclimate and lay back down. Once the floors have leveled back out they can always be sanded and refinished to bring them back to preloss condition.
