Mold Damage In Chambersburg

This home initially suffered roof damage. After a brutal storm came through the roof, it allowed some water to find its way in causing mold to grow over time on the drywall. The homeowner quickly reached out to SERVPRO for an inspection. Our team carefully removed the drywall and then afterwards HEPA VACCUMED the now exposed joist on the roof. Mold can start to grow within 48-72 hours after water is introduced. With it being the summer months when this occurred in an unconditioned space the mold grew very quickly. It is always very important to respond to water damages quickly to prevent mold from growing.
